Royalty Fete

The royalty fete held recently on Chapel Green was well attended by the people of Crowborough, this was the first year we had held a dog show which was something different for the society, it was a great success and we would hope to run this again next year, we must thank Julie Isted for all her hard work in organising the show.

This year's royalty princess is Angel Dixon-Pearson (aged9) and pageboy Ethan Kelly (aged5)  whom will be in attendance throughout the carnival day, featuring on the their own float leading the grand procession and presenting the prizes to the winners of the fancy dress and evening categories.

Plans and organising is going ahead well for carnival day with entertainment booked for our fete on Chapel Green carnival afternoon. We will be running our children's fancy dress classes again during the afternoon. Organisations who would like to have a stall on the green contact the secretary, charge per stall £10-00, trade stalls please enquire with the secretary 're availability and cost.
Torch boarding is cut and ready for the next step of making torches for carnival evening, our bands are booked for our evening procession, tableau entry forms have been sent out to organisation's inviting them to enter into our procession, any organisation wanting to enter, please contact the secretary on for an entry form.
Nearer to carnival day our busy fund raisers will be out and about in Crowborough selling both carnival day programmes and raffle tickets. We are always looking out for a extra pair of hands to help in various ways leading up to and on carnival day, anyone able to spare a couple of hours please contact the secretary or any committee member of the society.

We are hoping for a dry sunny and successful carnival day to raise as much money from the street collection for our chosen charities:

-Crowborough locomotive society

-Weald Link Community bus

-Crowborough food bank

-Crowborough Community First Responders

This year's Carnival will be held on the 9th September, with festivities beginning on The Green from 13:30 and the torchlight procession starting at 19:30.
